Welcome to the Gastrointestinal RefHelp page. This incorporates gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy services across NHS Lothian. We provide elective and emergency GI care for Lothian along with tertiary hepatology, liver transplant, endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, nutrition, functional and motility services.
Endoscopy and clinic services are provided at East Lothian Community Hospital, Leith Community Treatment Centre, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Western General Hospital and St John’s Hospital. Within all the units there are dedicated multi-disciplinary teams including specialist nurses, pharmacists, dieticians and administrative support to ensure the best care of patients.
