West Lothian Mental Health Services

All West Lothian mental health services are managed by the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), including the 3 inpatient wards. The services are to assess and treat people aged 18-64 who have mental health issues of at least moderate severity which impact on their ability to function and their quality of life. Those with milder mental health issues will benefit from self-management and there are extensive resources on the West Space website.

Services are stratified according to severity, matched to the level of need and illness:

Patients can use the extensive resources of NHS Inform and West Space. West Space is West Lothian HSCP’s site for mental health and wellbeing services and is maintained by Health in Mind. There are also resources available on the Stress and Emotional Difficulties page of RefHelp, and patients can access on-line wellbeing self-referrals
