Services

The Edinburgh Menopause Clinic is based within the Chalmers Centre as a specialist clinic of NHS Lothian’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Service.
2A Chalmers Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9ES

Tel: 0131 536 1511.

The clinic runs by appointment only and staffed by consultants, specialty doctors, GPs with a special interest in menopause, and specialist nurses.

Appointments are scheduled for Wednesday and Friday mornings at the Chalmers Centre and on Tuesday mornings at the Howden SRH (Sexual and Reproductive Health) clinic.

The British Menopause Society (BMS) has developed a range of useful resources for healthcare professionals to summarise the NICE Guideline, provide guidance on HRT prescribing and other treatment options, and to clarify some of the most common myths and misconceptions of menopause: https://thebms.org.uk/publications/tools-for-clinicians/. Please also see our Management of Menopause page, which includes an FAQ section.
