cCBT Other Mental Health Conditions

​This is for those with specific mental health problems, in ADDITION to anxiety or depression. It uses the SilverCloud approach and requires a cCBT referral through SCI Gateway. Patients can see detail on the SilverCloud patient information leaflet.

There are 4 other approaches to help with mental health conditions. For patients with:

Reviews:

  • These are conducted by the Digital Interventions Team every 3 weeks to review progress
  • Patients can move at their own pace, but at each review they will be asked to complete:
    • PHQ9 and GAD7
    • A clinical questionnaire relevant to their condition


Who to refer:

A reading age of 10 to 11 years is needed to complete cCBT programmes; much of the material is audio and video based for those who have lower levels of literacy.

Home User Technical Requirements

Patients completing the programme require:

  • An internet enabled device (PC/Laptop, smartphone or tablet)
  • A stable internet connection

Silvercloud Long Term Conditions cCBT is suitable for patients:

  • With mild to moderate depression and/or anxiety, associated with:
    • Health anxiety
    • Social anxiety
    • OCD
    • Panic
    • Phobia
  • Willing to be pro-active in their treatment recovery and to use an online treatment
  • With a personal email address to receive a link to access the treatment provided with referral
  • Who are currently undertaking another cCBT treatment: patients must please complete ‘Beating the Blues’ cCBT treatment before starting any Silvercloud cCBT programme.

  • Please select the appropriate Silvercloud treatment from the dropdown list available on SCI Gateway
  • Please note that patients can only undertake one cCBT treatment at a time
  • Please include an email address with consent for this to be passed on, and there are reminders on the SCI Gateway protocol to do this. Please avoid any shared (work/family) email address wherever possible. Patients who do not have a personal email address will be contacted by telephone.
  • If it is not possible to refer via SCI Gateway, referrals should be made by completing the appropriate Silvercloud cCBT referral form.  These should be emailed from any @nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk email address to silvercloudcbt@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk
