East Lothian CTACS

JUNE 2023 UPDATE: East Lothian CTACS are currently unable to accept patients for ear irrigation.

East Lothian CTACS are based in community hospitals and some other sites. For full details please see East Lothian Council’s Community and Treatment Services webpage.

Please note that arrangements do change so always refer to the website details – that also gives details of CTACS sites so patients can choose where to attend.

Self-referral services for patients:

  • Removal of sutures / staples after operations or injuries
  • Wound care – all wounds including post-operative, acute and chronic. 
    Please note, if a person sustains a minor injury they should still attend either their GP Surgery or Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) first for assessment. Subsequent wound care can be carried out by CTACS
  • Ear irrigation.

Those self-referring for ear irrigation should first follow the advice on the NHS Lothian patient information leaflet on ear care.

GP Practice teams can also refer for:

  • Vitamin B12 injections
  • Haematology bloods or pre-chemotherapy bloods
  • ABPI assessment
  • Vaccinations – please see the main Vaccines Services page for more information.

Patients can phone directly to make an appointment by calling Tel: 0300 790 6292 (Option 1 and then Option 2)

The phone line is open Monday to Friday 8.30am-4pm, and appointments are available Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm at most clinic locations. Please see East Lothian’s CTACS site for details of their locations.
