Signs
- Limp
- Swelling
- Deformity – possible divot in distal quads/defect below patella
- Bruising
- Unable to straight leg raise
Secondary care referral
- Urgent referral – may need urgent surgical repair
Primary care investigations
- X-Ray – A-P and lateral of both knees for comparison of patella position
