Background:
After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences and a Diploma in Adult Nursing, Susie started her career working as a staff nurse in Respiratory Medicine at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
In 2012 she joined the Respiratory Research team as a Senior Research Nurse, responsible for the day to day running of commercial and academic studies. In 2015 she undertook a deployment to West Africa, working with a team from Oxford University on a clinical trial treatment for Ebola Virus Disease. After a temporary redeployment to the Infectious Diseases research team in 2019 to support the Covid-19 studies, Susie joined the team permanently in 2020.
