PDFs and other documents
Some of our PDFs and Word documents are essential to providing our services. For example, we may have PDFs with information, and forms published as Word documents. We plan to either fix these or replace them with accessible HTML pages.

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018.

Live video
We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.

This website was last tested on 10 Feb 2025. The test was carried out by NHS Lothian.

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines V2.1 level A and level AA to test how accessible our website is.

We use in-built software checking tools at the point of page creation. We also test random sample of pages using tools, eg. Axe, Wave, Lighthouse.
