Background:
After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Edinburgh, Louise chose to pursue a career in nursing, graduating first in class at Edinburgh Napier University with a BN (Adult). Louise started her career working as a staff nurse in Respiratory Medicine at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in 2018.
To support COVID-19 research efforts, Louise accepted a short research secondment before returning to Respiratory Medicine as a deputy charge nurse. With her secondment having piqued her interest in research, she chose to pursue a career in research nursing and joined the CIRG in January 2022.
