Injuries to the minor end of the spectrum can be self managed with appropriate advice. More significant injuries warrant referral to MSK Physiotherapy to support management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Signs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mechanism of injury, Usually on contractile task<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Immediate pain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feeling of tear<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Swelling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bruising<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Tests<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Weakness in muscle group\/ not able to recruit muscles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pain on contractile muscle testing&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs\" data-active-tab=\"0\"><ul class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__nav-links\"><\/ul>\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__nav-link\"><span class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__title-wrapper\"><a href=\"#\"><span class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__title\">Primary Care Management<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__tab-content-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__tab-content\">\n<p>\u200bManagement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For Minor Muscle injuries grade &lt;2 then PRICE (Protection, Relative rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation).
