Please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/formulary.nhs.scot\/east\/endocrine-system\/sex-hormones\/menopausal-symptoms\/?m=low-sexual-desire-in-post-menopausal-women\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">East Region Formulary advice<\/a> and further Lothian guidance is being developed and will be available shortly. If you require advice to support provision and monitoring of testosterone in primary care, please send a Sci Gateway advice request.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Manage in Primary Care: <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Individuals with uncomplicated medical history who request HRT \u2013 see <a href=\"https:\/\/formulary.nhs.scot\/east\/endocrine-system\/sex-hormones\/menopausal-symptoms\/?m=general-prescribing-notes-for-all-adult-pathways\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">East Region Formulary<\/a> for HRT choices, and our RefHelp Menopause FAQs for further guidance. Individuals with new onset unscheduled bleeding in the first 3-6 months of use of HRT (see <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.nhslothian.scot\/refhelp\/unscheduled-bleeding-on-hrt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Unscheduled Bleeding on HRT \u2013 RefHelp<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Refer elsewhere: <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Individuals with premature ovarian insufficiency who wish to explore fertility options (please refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.nhslothian.scot\/refhelp\/fertilityreproductive-endocrinology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reproductive Endocrinology at Edinburgh Fertility Centre<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Individuals who are not on HRT and have post-menopausal bleeding. All referrals will be triaged by Chalmers Centre clinicians to receive either written guidance or an appointment. Secondary care referral by letter to Chalmers Centre, Menopause Clinic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clinicians requiring clinical advice to support an individual&#8217;s menopause management in Primary Care should send an advice request via SCI Gateway to Chalmers Centre, Menopause Clinic.
