For patients who <strong>do not<\/strong> meet the set criteria <strong>and<\/strong> are very unlikely to require admission, the GP should be passed to the Ambulatory Care Doctor via Flow Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Opening hours<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ambulatory Care is open Monday to Friday 9am-4pm with the last appointment at 2.30 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>B.C. &amp; R.M. 06-02-25<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs\" data-active-tab=\"0\"><ul class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__nav-links\"><\/ul>\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__nav-link\"><span class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__title-wrapper\"><a href=\"#\"><span class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__title\">Referral Guidelines<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__tab-content-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__tab-content\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who to refer:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Patients with NEWS of 1 or less&nbsp; and very unlikely to require admission<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Suspected cellulitis of limbs not responding to oral treatment and patient not willing\/able to attend OPAT at WGH<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Suspected DVT<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Suspected superficial thrombophlebitis<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who not to refer:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Patients with NEWS of 2 or more<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Patients with chest pain, palpitations or shortness of breath<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Patients who are immobile or require equipment to transfer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Patients who require transport to hospital<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pregnant or 6 weeks post-partum<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to refer:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To book an appointment call the Flow Centre on 03000 13 4000 Option 1 &amp; then 4<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__nav-link\"><span class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__title-wrapper\"><a href=\"#\"><span class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__title\">Resources and Links<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__tab-content-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__tab-content\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/apps.nhslothian.scot\/files\/sites\/2\/RIE-Ambulatory-Care-referral-pathway-from-Flow-Centre-March-2023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/apps.nhslothian.scot\/files\/sites\/2\/RIE-Ambulatory-Care-referral-pathway-from-Flow-Centre-March-2023.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Information For patients referred by their GP with a suspected specified condition that can be seen, diagnosed and treated without the need for admission to hospital in an outpatient type setting.
